What has RMDT delivered? Over eight years we have bored more than 500,000 feet underground and put more than 100 bores in the ground on schedule across 12 utility-scale solar fields. The work spans collection and interconnection on solar sites plus road, rail, river, and wetland crossings. The crossings behind the number

We describe our portfolio by crossing type and scope rather than by owner. Project names, footage on specific jobs, and references are verified and provided on request.

Utility-scale solar collection and interconnection

The bulk of our footage lives on solar sites. We bore 34.5kV medium-voltage collection under access roads, drainage, and array boundaries so trenching never fragments a block, then carry the duct banks, conduit, and fiber/SCADA paths the field depends on. On the interconnection side we drill the gen-tie bores into the point of interconnection, substation, and switchyard, the crossings that sit squarely on the critical path to energization.

Road and rail crossings

Public and private road crossings, highway right-of-way, and rail crossings where trenchless installation is the answer and open-cut is not an option. These bores keep traffic and rail service uninterrupted and keep the project clear of the permitting and restoration exposure that an open trench would create.

River, stream, and wetland crossings

Water and sensitive-ground crossings drilled to a written inadvertent-return plan: geotech read up front, an engineered drilling-fluid program, active monitoring, containment staged on site, and a contingency response committed in writing before the rig turns. This is where frac-out risk is highest and where a clean damage-prevention record matters most.

Vacuum excavation and SUE

Before and alongside the bore we pothole and daylight existing utilities with vacuum excavation, confirming depth and alignment of the lines we cross after one-call locates are in. Accurate subsurface utility engineering is what keeps a 500,000-foot record free of strikes.
